“We came down for a long weekend during New Years. Gorgeous hotel and wonderful location close to the beach and set away from the rest of the seawall activities. A great home base for exploring Galveston. The restaurant was good and the staff were hospitable and welcoming. The rooms are bit smaller as with any historic property and the recent renovations did a great job at highlighting the hotel’s charm and history. We would definitely come back during the summer for a long weekend trip.”

“We hadn’t been to the Grand Galvez in more than a decade and wanted to relive a prior anniversary experience and weren’t sure what to expect. It was amazing from the front desk to the accommodations to the food and service. Historical charm meets high end upgrades! We may be back every month now for a quick getaway! Thanks for the “new” memories!”

“We stayed at the Galvez for four days in November as we attended a conference. The beautiful historic hotel was lavishly decorated for the holidays. What a treat to see! The rooms are lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast each morning at the Monarch restaurant , and friends who were staying at other hotels joined us at the bar each evening to see the hotel and experience its unique architecture. We definitely will be returning on our next stay in Galveston.”

“It was such a joy to visit this historic site. The staff was amazing from the valet, to check in. The decorations were gorgeous Being NYE I was expecting some delays but they had everything covered seamlessly. Our dinner was simply delicious. If you have a special event like us, as it was our anniversary as well, give this beautiful hotel a try. You won’t be disappointed.”

“This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Saw this beautiful pink hotel last year when we were in Galveston and decided I had to budget it for this year. Glad we did so wonderful this historic hotel is just like taking a step back in time. Wonderfully tapestry throughout. We enjoyed ourselves at the lobby bar and had a couple of our specials. One evening they actually had a piano man. Excellent customer service but as the evening progresses it gets a little busy and seats are hard to find. Our room was wonderful although just a little small which was to be expected but we had a gorgeous view of the ocean. We picked up coffee every morning from the lobby and had excellent customer service there too. Parking was a little tight if you do not choose valet parking. Some parking is on the side of the street and others in the back of the facility. For your convenience there is a parking garage located next door for those that don't mind a little walk. Blessings to all staff and guests for 2026.”

In total, the ballroom is 5,000 square feet of space and can accommodate 300 guests for a seated dinner. The Veranda features floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the Gulf.
